Frequently Asked Questions
Vehicle & Premises Decontamination
Is it expensive?
The cost varies dependent on the area to be treated.
It is less expensive than not operating due to people being ill.
Loss of confidence in the safety of your environment can lead to reputation damage.
If you have any questions or queries call Caroline on 087 278 2155 or email your query to email@example.com. We would be glad to help
Do I have to close my premises?
Generally, no. If the area needing decontamination has a closable door you can operate normally in other areas. Our technician does not leave until the area has been ventilated and the hydrogen peroxide levels are below 1ppm which means that the area is safe for use. We operate twenty hours per day, seven days per week and we can facilitate you at the time most convenient for you.
What does ‘Touchless Disinfecting mean?
Wiping spreads germs from surface to surface. Because our product is non-toxic, it requires no rinsing and no wiping. We fog the entire area ensuring that every surface is reached including nooks and crannies where germs may lie. As droplets are also in the air fogging ensures these are also killed.
What are the benefits of fogging with Hydrogen Peroxide?
Fogging with Hydrogen Peroxide with Silver Nitrate kills a wide range of Bacteria, Viruses Fungi. It has many benefits
Does it have a harsh smell, like bleach?
No. It is odour-free and clear
How does our Hydrogen Peroxide Chemical compare to other disinfectants?
Superior Efficacy – Sanosil SO10 is a broad-spectrum disinfectant that kills a wide range of bacteria, viruses, and fungi. It performs equal to, if not better than, other disinfectants but does not damage materials or equipment.
Improved Safety – Bleach and other leading disinfectants are carcinogenic (cancer-causing) and mutagenic (mutates genes). They also cause severe eye, skin, and lung irritation.
Our product contains no toxic ingredients and is the safer choice for disinfecting.
We test the hydrogen peroxide levels in the air before leaving to ensure that it is safe to operate in.
Does it provide residual disinfecting?
Yes. It leaves behind a safe, undetectable layer of silver ions on surfaces. This helps prevent future contamination of the surface.
How long does it take?
The time it takes is dependent on the area to be fogged. We use a professional grade fogger which is used across the HSE. The fogger can cover an area of 100sqm in less than a minute.
With an adjustable droplet size between 5-50 microns and spray distance of up to 8 metres, this fogger can perform the most demanding of jobs with ease.
We then provide 30-minute contact time for the disinfectant to work before ventilating and testing the hydrogen peroxide levels in the air.
An average sized vehicle would be completed in 40 minutes.
An average sized room would be completed in approximately an hour.
Where there are multiple rooms the process would take approximately two to three hours.
The fogging itself takes minutes but we like to leave a contact time of thirty minutes before ventilating and testing to ensure you get the best value for money.
Is it safe and non-toxic?
Yes. The product has an exceptionally low toxicity rating which means it is safe for you, your pets, and the environment.
Is it environmentally friendly?
Yes. The ingredients decompose into water and oxygen, and do not contaminate the environment with any toxic by-products.
Does it kill H1N1 Swine Flu Virus? Does it kill Corona Virus?
Yes. It is independently tested and approved to kill the H1N1 Swine Flu Virus. It is also effective against mutating viruses because it works in three ways to kill micro-organisms. Other leading disinfectants kill in only one way making them ineffective against mutating viruses. The WHO recommend hydrogen peroxide for killing the Corona Virus,
Does it replace cleaning?
No. Routine cleaning needs to be performed. However even deep cleaning will not remove all pathogens as some areas are naturally missed. Also wiping moves germs from surface to surface and human error dictates that areas are missed. Hydrogen peroxide dispersed by fogging reaches every surface and nooks and crannies. Manual cleaning takes a lot of time. Most vehicles and premises are cleaned regularly but even one droplet can spread germs and viruses. These droplets cannot be seen. Even the cleanest area like cat labs can harbour germs. Fogging with hydrogen peroxide will kill all pathogens.
